Thank you for your interest in becoming an Independent Contractor for Mama's Pet Sitting, LLC.  Please read the following requirements for the preferred pet sitter and send the applications via regular mail or email.
Pet Sitter Job Description:
  • Receive in-home and overnight pet care assignments from Mama's Pet Sitting, LLC via email or text messaging.
  • Full-fill overnight service between 9pm and 6am
  • Perform mid-day daily dog walking assignments between 11am and 2:30pm Monday through Friday
  • Personalized pet sitting vacation visits throughout the day. Morning assignments 6-9am, midday 11am-2:30pm, 
evening 6-8pm
  • Remain in text or email contact with the client
  • Pet feeding and refresh water during each visit
  • Pet potty breaks and/or litter box cleanup
  • Clean-up of all pet accidents
  • Administer prescribed pet medications
  • Provide love and care, plenty of play and doting over the client's precious pets
  • Leave daily pet reports.  Much like a daily diary for the client upon their return
  • Curbside garbage drop off and pick up
  • Retrieval of mail, packages, and newspapers daily
  • Rotation of interior and exterior home lighting, daily
  • Tidying-up of pet sitter's direct living areas for everyday and overnight visits
Position Requirements:
  • Applicant must love pets and is currently a pet owner
  • Applicant must be willing and able to stay overnight in a client's home during the client's absence
  • Applicant must have an insured, licensed, fuel efficient, reliable car and hold a valid Texas driver's license.  Excellent driving record required.
  • Applicant must provide proof of U.S citizenship and present valid photo identification
  • Applicant must be willing to underfo and pass criminal background checks
  • Applicant must possess excellent written and texted English communication skills
  • College degree preferred
  • Applicant must be willing to make a 12 month independent contractor commitment to work with Mama's Pet Sitting, LLC and be willing to sign a Non-Disclosure/Non-Solicitation Agreement/Independent Contractor Agreement as a condition of independent constractor relationship
  • Applicant must be available to render pet sitting visitations as early as 6am and as late as 9pm seven days a week and must be available for holidays
  • Applicant must be well groomed, neat, tidy and refrain from smoking while working as well as profanity and vulgarity
  • Applicant must be respectful of Mama's Pet Sitting LLC clients, their homes, their property, and their privacy, and be neat and tidy while working and staying overnight inside the client's home
  • Applicant must be willing to pick-up dog poop and clean up litter boxes
  • Applicant must have access to the internet to receive assignments and have text messaging on their cell phone for full assignment coverage
  • Applicant must live in El Paso
Skills Set:
  • Pet sitting and/or in-home pet care experience
  • Veterinary technician  or pet certification is a plus
  • Dog training is a plus
  • Experience administering pet shots, pills, salves, and/or pet physical therapy is a plus
  • Detail oriented
  • Extremely organized and planning-oriented is a must
  • Address stessful situations with tact and without alarming clients, veternary medical professionals, or pets
Additional Information:
  • Pet sitters are paid as Independent Contractors once every two weeks.  All pet visitations must be reported to Mama's Pet Sitting, LLC
  • Pet sitters will be issued a 1099 and will be responsible for paying their own taxes
  • Independent Contractor Agreement with Non-Disclosure/Non-Solicitation clause to be signed prior to being contracted as a pet sitter for Mama's Pet Sitting, LLC
  • This is not a full time job and hours are not guaranteed. This is an on-call position as jobs become available in the entire city of El Paso. This is a wonderful position for anyone looking for supplemental income.  This is perfect for stay-at-home moms with older children, retired individuals and college students
  • Solicitation for business is acceptable on behalf of Mama's Pet Sitting, LLC  however any free-lance visitations using the name of Mama's Pet Sitting, LLC is strickly forbidden and will be subjected to prosecution.
